For fans of short, sweet-romances with happy endings this is for you!
Paige Walters has had a tough few years. She broke up with her boyfriend two years ago because he was a cheat; unfortunately he had also been her boss, so she had no choice but to walk away from her career eleven months ago when things became just too hard. Not able to find another job in design, she takes the advice of her sister and starts volunteering her way around England. Now she’s not only brokenhearted but impoverished and homeless, and can see no future ahead of her. But sometimes our stars begin to align, and Paige finds herself tripping into Penworth Bay in Cornwall as a volunteer in the Cornish Bay Bakery. Thank Heavens for the wonderful, warm and inviting reception she receives. Instantly, she likes Penworth Bay and the people who live there. And who wouldn’t? They are open and friendly and welcome her with open arms. If that wasn’t marvelous enough… in walks Owen the local fireman, and pow! there’s a connection that results in a really charming and tender romance.
This is one of those books that you love to curl up with a cuppa with and get lost for a few hours in the lives of the characters. It is a novella, so I read it in one sitting, I was glad to because it was hard to put down! Penworth Bay I think must be receiving a lot of visitors now due to this enjoyable series, I for one will certainly visit when I am next in that part of the world.
Sarah Hope has a lovely smooth style of writing which is extremely relaxing. This is a very easy-to-read lighthearted and sincere sweet romance. With heart-warming characters and an idyllic setting this is a little treasure of a read. Five stars from ‘T N Traynor Reviews’ and is a recommended romance read.
