Book Review ~ The Catch by T.M. Logan

(Part of the blurb) From the Sunday Times bestselling author of Richard & Judy Book Club pick and NETFLIX drama THE HOLIDAY, comes the perfect page-turning thriller.

He caught me watching, and our eyes met. That was when it hit me.
There was something not quite right about my daughter’s new boyfriend . . .

As I like to read before going to sleep, I don’t normally pick up thrillers. But, I received an email from Amazon with suggested Kindle Unlimited reads, and The Catch was one of them, it caught my eye.

I’m glad it did! I couldn’t put it down, and when I did I was thinking about it. Logan has a great writing style, very smooth and easy to read.

When Abbie, finally brings home her boyfriend of seven months to meet the parents, her father Ed takes an instant dislike to him. Is he being paranoid? Or can he sense something no one else seems to? With a history of chasing off Abbie’s boyfriends both his daughter and his wife get frustrated with him. But he just can’t let it go!

Compulsive reading, tense, and super absorbing. There was only one point where I cried out, ‘Oh come on!’ Hate plot holes. I won’t spoil it for you but towards the end of the book, it’s something to do with an address. But besides that, I loved this book and I highly recommend it to all (cosy’ish) suspense book fans. PS I would call it more suspense than a thriller.

Highly recommend. 5 stars from me.
